Steve Snuffer (aka Brother Steve) hails from Southeastern Massachusetts where he honed his craft as a singer songwriter, in the Americana and Roots Rock genres. His music intertwines poignant storytelling with tunes inspired by musicians such as the Allman Brothers, Tedeschi Trucks Band, and the legendary Lowell George of Little Feat one of Steve's biggest musical and songwriting influences.
Brother Steve is gearing up to unveil his awaited album titled "Learning to Breathe" on February 28th of the year 2025 under the label Giving Tree Records. The songs delve into themes such as love and loss alongside resilience and redemption. His heartfelt lyrics narrate struggles – from triumph over addiction, to acceptance of self love and appreciation all accompanied by a blend of soothing melodies, dense vocal harmonies, soulful slide guitar riffs, and catchy hooks.
Brother Steve's singing has been likened to that of Chris Robinson, from The Black Crowes. Raw and soulful with a sense of authenticity that comes from lived experiences than just technique alone. His musical journey traces back to his grandfather who was a picker" in West Virginia whose legacy ignited a lasting love for music in Brother Steve. He first took an interest in the guitar at the age of 12. It was at 15 when he truly embraced it as his passion. Starting out by playing with older musicians being snuck into bars, for performances helped shape his path. Now that Learning to Breathe is there, in the world Brother Steve is all set to leave his mark by showing that music is more, than a skill—it's a lifestyle choice.
